Welcome

Welcome to website of The Hance Family Foundation.  This Foundation was created in honor of our three beautiful daughters Emma, Alyson and Katie Hance.  They died in 2009, but through the activities of this Foundation we celebrate their spirits, their love of life, and the kindness and joy that embodied our beloved daughters.

The Hance Family Foundation hosts its only major fundraiser every spring, but collects donations all year long to fund our educational and giving initiatives (click to view).  True to our mission statement, we bring Foundation efforts to Floral Park, where the girls lived and where their family and friends still keenly feel their loss.  But we also branch out to neighboring communities, where we are trying to make an impact on the lives of children.

The Foundation supports children’s endeavors, such as our flagship educational programming: The EAK Projects, which foster community spirit, social skills, and self-esteem in children ages 5-18.  We also add to children’s lives through substantial donations to schools and children’s organizations, and through holiday toy drives and delivery of school supplies. The Foundation is based in Floral Park but is growing quickly, touching the lives of children across Long Island, in NYC, NJ, Chicago and potentially nationwide.

Healthy, happy, and safe children are the highest priority for the Hance Family Foundation.

We are a certified non-profit 501c3.

Our Mission Statement
The Hance Family Foundation has been founded to honor the memories of Emma, Alyson and Kate Hance, who died in a tragic car accident on July 26, 2009 at ages 8, 7 and 5.

The funds raised for this Foundation will be used to support children’s endeavors, with an initial emphasis on serving the children of the Village of Floral Park. The intention of the Foundation is to honor the memories of these extraordinary girls by helping as many children as possible, in as many ways as possible.

The Hance family is deeply grateful for the overwhelming response to the Foundation’s creation and looks forward to directing the funds toward worthy causes. With the generous support of both strangers and friends alike, the Hance Family Foundation will have a tremendous impact on many young people and will celebrate Emma, Alyson and Kate’s lives by providing resources to children in need.

Healthy, safe and happy children are the highest priority for the Hance Family Foundation.

We are a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
