BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Uplifting and inspiring race held to honor the memories of 3 beautiful young sisters and to raise funds for the Foundation’s support of children’s endeavors and youth organizations. Fast, flat course tours the streets of Floral Park Village. Waters stops, music and a live band line the course.

The PeeWee Race will be run entirely inside The Floral Park Centennial Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.  Emma’s Mile and the 5K will begin and end at Gardens, but the Majority of the races will be run through the flat, scenic streets of Floral Park.

This race will be the beginning of a really fun day focused on togetherness, and just like last year we are encouraging you to run as part of a team!!  Last year the costumes were great and really added some spice to the day! If you’d like to run as a team (consisting of 3 or more people) just indicate that when you sign up.  Then show your spirit with team shirts, costumes or anything else that will help you stand out and show your energy!!!

Emma’s  Mile: $15 via www.justregister.net or mail in application received prior to Wednesday, May 16, 2012; $20 for Friday, May 18, 2012 12noon-4pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm registration at the Floral Park Recreation Center or race day registration at the Floral Park Centennial Gardens

Pre-Race Check In: Registration & shirt pick up is at the Floral Park Recreation Center (Pool Building), 199 Terrace Ave, Floral Park, NY, 11001, on Friday May 18, 2012 between 12:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-9:00 pm
Race Day Check In: Race day registration will take place from 7:30am-9:00am at the Floral Park Centennial Gardens, 251 Floral Parkway, Floral Park, NY 11001 Saturday May 19, 2012.
No Numbers will be given out after 9:00am

Online registration can be done at www.justregister.net until Wednesday,May 16, 2012 11:59pm.  Race day registration will be accepted at The Floral Park Centennial Gardens and Bird Sanctuary site between 7:30am and 8:30 am.  NO numbers will be issued after 9:00am.  Online donations can be made by clicking here or by sponsoring a runner on  www.justregister.net.

PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE AND PRE-RACE CHECK IN

Registration via  or www.justregister.net mail will end on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:59pm. Friday registration, tshirt pick up, and number pick up at The Floral Park Recreation Center, 199 Terrace Avenue, Floral Park, NY 11001, on Friday, May 18, 2012 between 12noon-4pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Start times: PeeWeen Run 9:00am SHARP(No Shirts for Pee Wee Run); Emma’s Mile Fun Run 9:15amSHARP; 5K Run 9:45amSHARP; Walkers start at back of runners’ field.  RACE TIMED BY JUST FINISH INC. *chip timing*  AWARDS: PeeWee-awards to all; 1 Mile- 1st(10)Male, 1st (10)Female finishers, under 18 years of age; 5k- 1st Male&Female finishers overall 1stMale&Female Floral Park finishers 1st,2nd,3rd Male&Fe following  male finishers in thecategories: 13&under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, over 70 (Awards will be given out in the above order, overall awards put you out of contention for an award in a later category). Prizes awarded for: Most Team Spirit and Highest Fundraiser (team and individual).
